Young Man Aggressive Baldness Case Study

Here we have Arvin, a young 23 year old man with severe hair loss and multiple failed hair transplants. Arvin had spent a significant amount of money on attempting to restore his hair, and he had completely exhausted his hair donor supply with both FUT (strip) and FUE hair transplants. Unfortunately, his baldness was so aggressive at such a young age that the transplants were completely inadequate and he was still bald. The situation was very embarrassing for him and he wore a hat at all times. The constant hat-wearing was holding him back from his goals of becoming a professional basketball player. After searching for his best option, he came to Zang SMP.

We approached Arvin’s case with the goal of restoring full density on top of his head, and repairing the scarring damage from the hair transplants. He wanted to be able to keep a buzz cut instead of fully shaving his head, and we determined that he had just enough hair density to be able to achieve this. We started off by cutting his hair to a 1 guard on top, and a ½ on the sides and back. After this, we did the first SMP treatment and focused heavily on building the density on top of his head, with some treatment added into the strip scar as well. During the second session we were able to cover the extensive FUE scarring, and we added another darker layer of pigment on top of his head. Arvin and his family were absolutely thrilled with the results; he now says that he looks 20 years younger, and that Zang SMP improved his appearance more than any surgeon who ever touched his head!
