Choosing Between Permanent and Temporary Scalp Micropigmentation
Many people suffer from hair loss, but it is more common in men than in women. The causes of hair loss in men are mostly genetic, whereas the cause for females is unknown. Other reasons for hair loss can be due to medications, different diseases, chemotherapy, radiotherapy or scarring from some accidents.
Almost 60% of males suffer from hair loss. A lot of people have a problem with thinning of hair whereas some suffer from balding. Either way, you can go for a hair transplant or Scalp Micropigmentation. Even after a hair transplant, people are left with the scar on the donor area from where the surgeon takes the hair follicles to attach it to the other side where those follicles are required. If the patient wants short hair, the scars can be revealed easily. This scar can be concealed with the help of Scalp Micropigmentation. It covers up the scar leaving no trace behind.
For Scalp Micropigmentation, the physician uses tiny needles to inject pigments in the scalp tissues, giving an illusion of hair follicles. Scalp Micropigmentation can be done on a bald head or on the areas of thin hair, giving the appearance of thick hair. Scalp Micropigmentation is an ideal solution for any kind of hair loss and can be done even after hair transplant.
Sessions of Scalp Micropigmentation
The process requires 2-4 sessions mainly. There is a delay of 10-14 days in each session. In the first session, our physician will set a hairline for your scalp. During the second session, further details will be added to the hairline and more layers will be created. Finally, during the third session, our physician will complete the look by adding final touches according to your preferences.
Types of Scalp Micropigmentation
Permanent Scalp Micropigmentation
Scalp Micropigmentation is a permanent treatment for hair loss. It is a cosmetic tattoo that helps you to keep your desired look. Therefore, it is also called a permanent tattoo or a permanent makeup that gives a look of shaved head on a bald scalp or a look of thick hair when a person has thin hair issues.
You can choose the pigment of any color matching the color of your hair. It will blend in easily and will conceal the balding area or the scars if there are any. It gives you a permanent look. After many years of treatment, you will notice a slight change in the strength of color. This change will happen gradually. It will not discolor the Micropigmentation, but it will become lighter than before. If you notice fading, you can visit the clinic for a touchup.
Temporary Scalp Micropigmentation
Temporary Scalp Micropigmentation allows you to try a look before you decide to make it permanent. Scalp Micropigmentation is a permanent process once you go through all the sessions of this treatment. But just to have an idea of how you will look like, we at Zang SMP don't offer this as we find permanent SMP to be far superior (and will eventually fade after a few years so you are not stuck with it forever if you change your mind). You can alter the hairline after the temporary Scalp Micropigmentation according to your desire, which is not a choice for permanent Scalp Micropigmentation. Many people have difficulty in choosing a hairline for their scalp. So temporary SMP would be ideal for this case.
